Community

One of the benefits of Mercer Honors is the supportive and encouraging community of high-achieving students. The program builds community by hosting events such as honors recognition at football and basketball games, honors attendance at concerts and plays, credit for attending academic lectures, and a student achievement banquet.

Mercer Honors students received advising to help them identify appropriate academic, co-curricular, and fellowship opportunities to enhance their development. In addition to academic advising with faculty members in their majors, honors students meet regularly with honors and fellowships staff to discuss their progress, their goals, and relevant opportunities.

Mercer Honors students are also paired with peer mentors in the program in informal relationships to support their growth and development and build community within the program.
